<br />
This week we had exchanges in Dundee, it was great to catch up with
Sister Hill again!! Today we went hiking with the
District, It was good fun, lots of banter, I fell in the river (of
course...), and overall just a chill way to end my p-day adventures. I
said goodbye to most of the ward on Sunday, the Alloa ward is amazing
and I love the members so much!<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Whoa</i> I can't believe
this is it! I've been spit on in Belfast, adopted by Brazilians in
Dublin, climbed the Cliffs of Moher, drank from the waters of Loch Ness,
ran the Tay Bridge, spent nine straight hours finding in the Meadows,
and dodged drunk men in Paisley. I've driven cars and mega vans, rode trains and
buses, flown through storms, trekked the highlands, biked to castles, and ferried across the
Irish Sea. I've served in all three countries and left a piece of my heart in each. I've made new family from all over the world and had enough
laughs to last me a lifetime. This has been the best adventure of my
life! <br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
Above all, I am grateful for the things I have
learned. Getting to spend all day, everyday sharing the Gospel of Jesus
Christ really is the best. My faith has been tested, but the more I
study and share, the more my testimony is strengthened. I know that
Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that through Him, I can become the person
He knows I can be. I love reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible and
learning more about what I can be doing to better follow Him. I am so
grateful for my Heavenly Father and the love He has for us all. I know
that Christ lives and loves us!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm going to miss
these countries so much. My family has grown and grown-- between missionaries, members, and random people on the street
that have become some of my closest and dearest friends. There's not much else to say
other than how completely grateful I am for this opportunity to serve!! <br />

AH another great week :) :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
Tuesday was my
last zone conference ever. Crazy. It was all of Paisley, Glasgow, and
Edinburgh zones. All seven of the sisters from my MTC days
were there! We all shared our departing testimonies. We've all had such different experiences and all changed so much, it was amazing coming back together for
the end! It was an emotional experience. </div>
<div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJYEYBTNEQmnaNKTWOYjVL96spZYOgDWtr51Pw47qEbxJEp2sl_ukCGFgfiuvdF0vsxGYrKvaBUxHWgvTO2424j7MIfOR9rZ5e_iUvEb3Q04jxETd03PlATrSxr4664CxCQAFZp0g8bVw2/s1600/IMG_6253.JPG" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJYEYBTNEQmnaNKTWOYjVL96spZYOgDWtr51Pw47qEbxJEp2sl_ukCGFgfiuvdF0vsxGYrKvaBUxHWgvTO2424j7MIfOR9rZ5e_iUvEb3Q04jxETd03PlATrSxr4664CxCQAFZp0g8bVw2/s640/IMG_6253.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">MTC reunion</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</div>
<div>
<br />
<br />
So, as part of the conference, all the
missionaries going home this transfer are taken to another
room and instructed, basically, on how to get a job, get an education,
find a spouse, and such. Whoa, I literally have no idea how to be
a real life adult! haha It was a hilarious meeting, mainly 'cause Garner
and I were bantering the whole time.</div>
<div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

</div>
<div>
<br />
<br />
Thursday, I
went back to Edinburgh for my final interview with President Donaldson.
It was so great to chat with him!! To be honest, I was really
struggling with the idea of leaving the mission. It has become my home
and my family! But President and I talked a wee bit, and I'm feeling more ready now :) I love that man so much!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
</div>
<div>
Last p-day we
just chilled at the park, had a picnic, listened to music, it was a
great day! The sun was out in full force, so I got some more freckles.
Flip ya. I LOVE MY DISTRICT!</div>
<div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Not
much else to report on this week. I love the members here in Alloa, I
love the missionaries I serve beside, and I LOVE being a missionary!
There is honestly nothing better. Life is so good!!!!<br />

<div>
It's been a great week!</div>
<div>
We talked to
people this week in the town center, it's been pretty busy with
the nice weather! It's funny, I've only been here three weeks but I'm already friends with all the city regulars, like the lady who
owns the local bar and the men who sit outside the convenience store.
We also went to Stirling University and met some
really cool people. Stirling is the place to be!</div>

There was a
great Father's Day theme in church yesterday. It reminded me how
grateful I am for my dad and for all the father figures I've had in my
life! I am so grateful especially for my Heavenly Father, I know He
loves us all no matter what, and He is always trying to bless us.</div>

I
studied this week a bit about obedience. Obedience is a key to unlock
the blessings from heaven, but we sometimes see it as a way to chain us
down. When we are obedient to God's commandments we can see the bigger
picture. As I am, I can't see into the future or even begin to
understand my path in life. But God knows. As we obey the
promptings of the spirit and do what we can to follow Jesus Christ, we
can obtain blessings that we could not have even imagined!<br /> </div>
<div>
We've had
dinner appointments on dinner appointments, I am SO grateful for the
people here that are taking the time to feed us. The food is also
flippin delicious! </div>

This week was great! <br /></div>
Tuesday
was the rainiest day of my mission! I'm not even kidding. We went to
Edinburgh for a Zone meeting, then headed back to Stirling for the rest
of the day. Man, it was bucketing!! It didn't stop for a single second
all day long, I have never been so soaked!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM7o9bd7fyHep3VuP2DNC3Qiqmeg63XZYyCPinwYm927MZhezhOty2ElnvQCOAm0VY9BQd9wOn75S-wjCHXKWMAVyBpOSWofPvIpx1QU9nBjqw2RKnsGhUalV9CxaFpTvSoP3C_P7goM2Z/s1600/Stirling+hike+2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM7o9bd7fyHep3VuP2DNC3Qiqmeg63XZYyCPinwYm927MZhezhOty2ElnvQCOAm0VY9BQd9wOn75S-wjCHXKWMAVyBpOSWofPvIpx1QU9nBjqw2RKnsGhUalV9CxaFpTvSoP3C_P7goM2Z/s640/Stirling+hike+2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

The rest of
the week was spent finding and teaching a lot of people. I love being
in Alloa ward, the members here are sooooo great! The city of Stirling
is small and there are tons of tourists right now! Gonna be
honest, I don't know anything about the history of Stirling, but
apparently it's pretty famous because people are coming from all
over the world! <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD29LZQQDBKroGKqVlvwIiHIgc4J8BEf1FoiGMX1cQNa_Tp5MK5nRcBlhKNYucTAlpf4p7COF7tkM67OJJUbsO5dI4CMSFEUcMX2Zccf5nVs8S6FRhY_kycQf-2ZmWiSisW36DQArGZk4R/s1600/Stirling+hike+3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD29LZQQDBKroGKqVlvwIiHIgc4J8BEf1FoiGMX1cQNa_Tp5MK5nRcBlhKNYucTAlpf4p7COF7tkM67OJJUbsO5dI4CMSFEUcMX2Zccf5nVs8S6FRhY_kycQf-2ZmWiSisW36DQArGZk4R/s640/Stirling+hike+3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

hiked around Alva Glen. It was beautiful! I'm with a really fun group
of missionaries: an elder from Cali, my comp from Finland, and an elder
from Australia, a brand new elder from Japan, and Elder Keim. (That'll make 11 months serving in the same area as him.) We had so much
fun hiking! There were loads of sheep that we tried to catch, which
usually ended with us just slipping and falling all over the place. The
trick was to not slip in the sheep crap.....it was everywhere. Literally everywhere. Ya, it was a good day. Then we went and got a chippie
afterwards, so it's been a good day!</div>

<br />I love Stirling so much! We talked to loads of people this week and met some very fine folk! The city is small and beautiful. We've got the Ochils on one side and farms on farms on farms (with highland coo) on the other. <i>It is gorgeous here!</i><br />

The sun was out full force at the beginning of the week, then Scotland struck again. We were teaching a lesson in the library when, suddenly, we're getting pelted with hail shooting out of the vents! Then, a huge leak erupts in the ceiling right next to us and everyone scrambles to save the books. Don't worry, all the books got saved and it was so much fun.<br />

<br />
I got moved!!!! I am spending my last 6 weeks in the legendary Stirling city and with the legendary Sister Lehtimaki! I am SO pumped...this area is amazing, the ward is the best, Sister L is hilarious, and we are going to work so flappin hard. Warning: I ma going to come crawling off that plane. :)<br />

Saturday was Lee's baptism! He was baptised in the Findhom River, it was beautiful. The baptism, itself, was very special for this amazing guy. It was the best feeling in the world and I know I was in Elgin to meet Lee and witness his baptism.<br />

On Tuesday, we had District Meeting in Invergordon. Get this....their chapel is in an old closed down bank. There is a legit safe in the main room, and to get to the family history area, you have to take the pin out of the emergency exit door and punch this little lock thing. It is the coolest chapel ever!!<br />

Not much else this week. Just the craziness of moving. I'm so grateful for my month in Elgin and everyone I got to meet. I'm so grateful I got to serve with Sister Christensen, she will continue to light that area up!<br />
<br />
I'm so excited for this last transfer and all the miracles we will see.<br />
<br />
"And thus we can see that by small things the Lord can bring about great things." I love this scripture. We are small and powerless. but by using us, the Lord can accomplish greatness. We might not think the little things we do can make a difference, but every little contribution we make helps bring a greater purpose.<br />
<br />
Love you all!<br />

I drove us down to Aberdeen for conference. It was an amazing
conference and so good to see everyone! Shout-out to Sister Sams, it
was her birthday on Tuesday. WOO! We took a train back to Elgin after the
conference and then taught some good lessons. </div>

Thursday, we went down to Dundee for exchanges. I was with Sister
Hill, oh my days I love her!! We had so much fun and it was nice being in
a city again. I just talked to as many people as possible. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For morning exercise I <i>finally</i> got to run the Tay Bridge!! That
thing is a legend in the mission, and it was on my bucket-list.
It's a 2.25 km long bridge that crosses the Firth of Tay. We ran it so fast! My legs were so
dead the next day!</div>

We had a good rest of the week as well. Lots of
lessons, the weather was rubbish on Saturday, but we were inside
teaching most of the day. This next week is gonna be great, our friend
Lee is getting baptised on Saturday!!!!!!!!!! Lee is like my older
brother out here, he is literally the best. It's so cool seeing how the
gospel has changed his life, he is an incredible guy! Saturday is going
to be amazing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Monday, we grabbed lunch with the Hebrides district since they came down for
the conference. Afterwards, we went to the Spynie castle with the
Smiths. It was so fun! :) It was a good thing I was in a dress or I would have
been climbing all over everything! Well...I still climbed all over everything,
but never too close to the edge, I promise. </div>

<div>
We
taught a lot of lessons this week! Our friends out here are so cool,
they all have such different back stories and different interests. It's
amazing how the Gospel has the ability to bless everyone, no matter what
they've been through! We watched Joseph Smith: Prophet of the
Restoration with some friends on Saturday. Man, I actually love that
film! Every time I watch it I get hyped about sharing the Book of Mormon
with people. </div>

<div>
Funny moment of the week that will help you understand what Elgin is like:</div>
<div>
So
the bus times changed this week. There we are at the bus station
waiting for our bus and right next to us is this group of 15 or so
elderly folk. They start getting real worked up because the #36 bus has
not arrived yet. One finally arrives, but because it was early, it just
sits there not letting people on. So these old people start proper
rioting. One yells "They're doing this to confuse the elderly!" and they
start running as fast as they can to the bus and pressing against it.
It was actually one of the funniest things I've ever seen. hahaha</div>
<div>

<div>
On
Monday we went to the beach!!! I love the beach so much, I think it's
funny how often I've been to the beach on my mission considering I'm
serving on a rainy cold island. But the beaches here are lush! We
grabbed ice cream afterwards, it was a nice chill day.</div>

<div>
<div>
So,
Monday we had a pretty relaxed day. Got shopping done, walked around
the town, it was nice! Today we'll probably hit up the beach or
something, so that'll be cool! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
</div>
<div>
Tuesday, we took
a train to Inverness for District meeting. I saw Loch Ness, that was
cool! Best surprise ever though when I got the the church.....CHLOE
(Sister DeMille) was there!!!! WOOO!!! It was such a nice surprise,
seeing her was def the highlight of the week! We caught up for a little
bit, it'll be cool to see her and all my other mission friends back
home! </div>

<div>
We taught a good amount of lessons this
week and got some quality finding in the town center. We should have a
couple baptisms within the next month! That's exciting! </div>

Other
highlight of the week: We got to do some service! I built a chicken
coop. Flip ya. Oh ya, not a chicken coop. A bantam coop. Totally
different...haha. It was awesome, there's a couple that live way out
of town in a cottage on a farm. They are in good health, so
we gave them a hand getting their garden and chickens ready for summer.
Honestly, it was the coolest thing ever, it's so beautiful out there! The
directions to get to their house are literally: bike for about 15
minutes, turn right at the pig farm, bike for another 20 minutes, they
are in the one cottage you'll see. I love it!</div>

I
got to study a lot this week about confidence. There is a great talk by
Elder Holland that led me on a lot of great scripture chases. One of my
favorite quotes from it is-<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
"God will also provide the means and power
to achieve that purpose. Trust in that eternal truth." Anytime God
speaks to us through revelation, He doesn't just call it good and leave
us to our own devices. As long as we're doing out best, He will make
sure we can accomplish everything He asks. And we can take confidence in
that!</div>

<br />
Alright so surprise time....I moved!! I am now in Elgin, in northern Scotland. It's a small town with an awesome branch, I am going
to love it here!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So I'll recap my week...</div>
<div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEsZAT_M04QRCzOQqY14PGhO1oa7VuCAVUs-IbvMP67eQQUbih4NMaK4oF74EFOi1jz-B0ocHJM4edWU1XIVrlRuLWMmBn_z4bBAV5IvXB37XD4KBom_Bfl_1AfW5xR4l5-Gbfjz7CpaY8/s1600/DSCF3887.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEsZAT_M04QRCzOQqY14PGhO1oa7VuCAVUs-IbvMP67eQQUbih4NMaK4oF74EFOi1jz-B0ocHJM4edWU1XIVrlRuLWMmBn_z4bBAV5IvXB37XD4KBom_Bfl_1AfW5xR4l5-Gbfjz7CpaY8/s640/DSCF3887.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
Wednesday......Dylan
got baptised!!!!! WOOOO!!! I met him three weeks ago on the sidewalk.
We had a good 10 minute talk about finding direction through the Holy
Ghost, and he said he's been looking to go to church for a while now but
hasn't known where to go. Every lesson we had with him was amazing!! He
loves the Book of Mormon, has introduced himself to so many members at
church, and is really excited to get the priesthood soon!</div>

We had a great district meeting. I was able to see Sister Brousseau,
who is a great friend! We grabbed lunch at Cheeky Nandos
with Laura and Ruth, two young women from Edinburgh. They are the coolest ever,
I love them both so much!</div>

<div>
Thursday.....
I officially moved :) Sister Christensen (my new comp) and I took a
train up to Elgin! We met some members and got all moved in. It's
honestly such a great town, very different from the big cities I've
lived in! It's crazy to think I will finish here! </div>
<div>
</div>
<div>

<div>
So that's about it! We've been
working really hard here to get the work going. We're already seeing so
many miracles, so I'm excited to see what in store for us here!</div>
<div>
Love you all, talk to ya soon!</div>

<div>
On
Tuesday we had a new leadership training. We instructed the new
STLs and DLs, they are going to help the mission so much! It's great to see the up and coming leadership.</div>
<div>
Wednesday,
the new missionaries came in. They are also such powerhouses! Honestly,
every missionary that comes in is better than the previous. It's going
to be an amazing two years for them. We got to climb Pratt's hill as
well, Sister Six and I got to talk about everything we are going to
accomplish this transfer. It's gonna be a good one! </div>

<div>
Thursday,
we had MLC. It was also a great meeting! The new STLs are going to
crush it, I'm so proud of them! It was great to see all my friends as
well. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Our friend Dylan is getting baptised
this Wednesday! He is from the Caribbean, is 20, and is a professional
paintballer. Literally, he's the coolest! When I stopped him on the
street we had a nice conversation about how faith can lead to happiness,
and here he is two weeks later getting baptised! What a boss. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sister Six is an awesome companion. We are so similar! We've been having loads of fun and have gotten a lot of work done. </div>

<div>
I
have had the opportunity to learn a lot about agency lately. We have
all been given the gift of agency, the gift to be able to choose for
ourselves. The commandment are given so when we choose righteously, we
receive blessings. We cannot be forced to obey, or even do it
complacently. Blessings from commandments only come when we choose for
ourselves. When we choose poorly, we end up in situations that limit our
agency and have negative consequences. By simply choosing the right, we
ensure that we keep our gift of agency and get to accomplish all we
need to.</div>
<br /><div>
Love you all so much, I hope you have a wonderful week!!</div>

Monday night, we drove up to Aberdeen for a conference. Sister Paxman, Elder
Tullis, Elder Jones, and I instructed on planning and how to use the new
Daily Planning Aid to best use every hour of the day. It went really
well! I also got to catch up with some of my friends from Ireland that I
hadn't seen in ages. Driving home from Aberdeen was a party as well, we had good banter. </div>

I had
an exchange with Sister Wayne this week. She's been out about a
month, but she is already a boss! Her teaching skills are really
good and we had fun finding throughout the day.</div>

That
night, after the exchange, we flew to Dublin. WOOT! No problems flying
over, but we didn't get to the flat til about 1am....ouch. It was a late
night. The
day in Dublin was great! We saw Boon, taught loads of Brazilians, ate
delicious food, life was good :) I was with Sister Jorgensen, she is
always good craic. </div>

Highlight of the week!! We flew back in time for
our friend Colins' baptism! He is a legend. We've been teaching him for
about 2 months now, and he's had the coolest journey! He's from Scotland
and is super solid. It was a great baptism, I got to speak about
baptism. It went really well. Afterwards, the
members had pizza and biscuits for us. It was so good, they just
made it an awesome experience for Colin!</div>

Wow, long one
this week. Another bonus: the sun is out!!!!! It comes up around
half 6 and doesn't set till about 8. Honestly it is such a blessing!
The sun makes people so much happier here. I love it!</div>

For P-day, we went to the Pentlands reservoir and explored a bit. It was so windy,
it was actually crazy! We played capture the flag and frisbee. After
all that, we came back to the mission home and played some games. We
played signs, which went amazing haha. Then we played the cereal box
game. It's where you have to bend down and pick up a cereal box with
your mouth without your knees or hands touching the floor. You rip off a
layer of the box every round, until at the end, it's just a piece of
cardboard on the ground. Plot twist, I actually managed to get it. It
was hilarious, but man I was so sore the next day!!</div>

Food
highlight of the week: Howies. It's this really nice British restaurant.
A member from Washington took us. I had Cullen Skink...... it's
actually amazing, despite the name. haha</div>

Thank you all for everything, I hope everyone has a happy Easter! Remember the reason for it :) Love you!!</div>

we had an all Scotland conference. We presented about some new
planning aids and it went pretty well. It was fun seeing everyone,
conferences are the best! We played a few fun games afterwards. In one game, we tried to eat a whole apple (core and everything) in three
bites. Oh my days, my abs still hurt from laughing!!<br />

Wednesday,
we had exchanges. I was with....SISTER GARNER!!! Reunited! We had so
much fun and taught some really cool people! There was a baptism that
night for our friend, Victor. We went and took our friend, Cat. She loved it!
Sister Garner played the piano for a bit afterwards, it was so fun
hearing her play again!</div>

<div>
We had a couple other
exchanges through the week. I was with Sister Muller from Switzerland. We had
good fun! The best part of the week was definitely the sunshine!!
Believe it or not....I'm getting tan :) Or more freckles....whatever.
The sun has been absolutely beautiful! The joke is that this is our 2
weeks of summer, then it'll rain until I go home. But hey, I'll take
what I can get!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
General Conference was good craic! I watched at the church with Rosen, Elder Stoker, and Elder Wright. We watched the AM sessions live, and went back the next day for the recorded PM sessions. I
loved the talks about charity, they really seemed to stress the
importance of loving everyone! When it comes down to it, treating others
with love is the most important attribute we could ever obtain. </div>

Tuesday
we were supposed to go to Ireland....but I forgot my passport in the
car that is getting maintenance work done. I hope you are all happy to
know that despite living in a foreign country without my parents for the
past year, I still manage to goof up. Maturity is real, responsibility
is still a work in progress though....Oh well, we had good times working in Edinburgh, instead. <br />

So the beginning of this week was
absolutely freezing and it was pouring and life was kinda rough. Then one day, the sun came out. And man, it was beautiful! We've had
sunshine for the past three days now, and it's like Christmas came
early! Yesterday it got up to 15 degrees!! I am basically tan.
Basically.....</div>

Today, we are not
sure what we're going to do. Possible the beach by Tantallon Castle again, it's
supposed to get up to 13 degrees today and be sunny til evening. To
be honest, it doesn't really matter where we go, this squad can manage to make it a
fun day anywhere. But, Google Seacliff Beach in Scotland- you'll see it's practically heaven!</div>

Thought
for the week: Yesterday in church a woman shared about her mother. She
shared about the Christlike attributes she had, and in what ways her
mother was an example. On my mission I have been striving to attain
different attributes that our Savior has. He is our perfect example!
This woman shared however, that we don't need to be perfect to
be Christlike. That rang so true for me! None of us are perfect, but we
can still work on becoming more like Jesus Christ and be happy with the
progress we are making. </div>

Love you all!</div>

On
Sunday we had quite a different day. We went out to church in
Galashiels! Our friend, Cat, lives out there, so we took her to church to
introduce her to everyone. Oh my days, Galashiels is beautiful!!!
There's a whole bunch of farms and sheep and highland cows, I love it! I
could die happy out there for sure. </div>

We
attended a little branch and the amount of spirit felt there is insane.
We were in the middle of nowhere in Scotland with about
20 people in this little meeting house. These people give so much to
build
the kingdom where they live. Cat's baptism is planned for the 29th. We
had a very
special experience with her this week. So, the Piano Guys were the ones
that got her interested in learning about the Mormons. One of the Piano Guys recently lost a daughter and that led Cat to pray and want to learn more about the church. Well, that same Piano Guy has a son in our mission. Cat got to meet him and tell her story. We all felt his sister was present in the
room. We truly have help from above in this work. </div>

Wednesday, we instructed at the new leadership training meeting. It went well! This mission has some amazing leaders,
they just keep getting better and better. Let me just say, though, we are nothing without the Holy Ghost. The Spirit
works through us as we instruct. We could not do this on our own. So grateful for the spirit. It's fun that so many mission friends come to the mission home for training and the great reunions we have. This
mission really is family!! <br />
<br />
Tuesday, all the
new missionaries arrived and we gave instructions the whole
morning and afternoon. Again, it went well! The new missionaries are
awesome, they are going to do some great things here! <br />

We met a girl, Lavinia, from Italy. We were talking to people in the city and she immediately sets an
appointment. She has been meaning to find Mormons and meet up.
We taught her and she said she was just curious, but by the end of the
lesson she agreed to meet with us more. We told her the gospel blesses families and learned that is what interests her the most. We showed her
the Family Proclamation to the world. SHE LOVED IT!!<br />

Throughout the week we've
been meeting with Collin. He is so great, we've been meeting with him
for over a month now. He'll be getting baptised in a couple weeks! It's
been quite the journey, he has come so far! He's gone from thinking there was no god, to believing and understanding he is a child of God. We are so happy with the joy he has found. <br />

Monday, we hiked Pratt's
Hill, it was so windy! Then we played frisbee at the park.
Classic. I have played so much frisbee in the past couple transfers,
it's insane. I'm gonna be a straight boss when I get home. Jokes, I still
can't throw to save my life. We started playing frisbee for morning exercise. 6:30
at the fields with the 8 elders. It's so fun, honestly the best way to
start out the day! Over the summer all the missionaries in Edinburgh would play and now that
the sun rises earlier, we get to play in the morning again! </div>

have some good pics for next week! We've got exchanges on exchanges on exchanges as
well, it's gonna be a busy next couple weeks. Life is flying by, I
can't believe it's almost April!</div>

Well. I don't even know how to describe this last week, so many adventures went down! We'll start with Monday.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4f2HUvkvGeAZlUTCwRqK7yZIfpicHqBFSWZdNOKOVKnzdbJu5cqEvsUeiIxO4iAKS4hbUEdX38nGRlXe4NFr4IYJOKqHEhTLB-bJ9xwfvkoV_83Q6MA93RokjG4Zabav7BPRXRTYu61UN/s1600/T+castle+2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4f2HUvkvGeAZlUTCwRqK7yZIfpicHqBFSWZdNOKOVKnzdbJu5cqEvsUeiIxO4iAKS4hbUEdX38nGRlXe4NFr4IYJOKqHEhTLB-bJ9xwfvkoV_83Q6MA93RokjG4Zabav7BPRXRTYu61UN/s640/T+castle+2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
We
all climbed into Bertha (the huge mission van) in the morning and set off to a castle. We got
there and realized it cost money to enter, which is something we don't have! So,
we decided to keep driving until we found another one. Shoot dang. Tantallon
castle. We roll up and start exploring. It was the most beautiful place ever!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuZYwYmUuJqOlW6n98xGbTYjxwOH8cnwq0AfXcbnSIgnDp4_3eVgUUaeNS8wNJsWTrohyphenhyphenB4YnuXPwEzIKIotMUaRXCIcgDn6jrSKsGvZUcU8SC17_G6JzMbXmf1lFLNY0OF-mpyYY9UxGi/s1600/T+castle+7.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuZYwYmUuJqOlW6n98xGbTYjxwOH8cnwq0AfXcbnSIgnDp4_3eVgUUaeNS8wNJsWTrohyphenhyphenB4YnuXPwEzIKIotMUaRXCIcgDn6jrSKsGvZUcU8SC17_G6JzMbXmf1lFLNY0OF-mpyYY9UxGi/s640/T+castle+7.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
It's right on the cliffside, so we ran around climbing all over
everything and taking pics. We played rugby and frisbee on the grounds,
as well. Oh my days, it was so much fun!! Then we climbed back into
Bertha and drove to the beach. This beach is what heaven will look like.
We played frisbee again and ran around avoiding the waves. It was the
best!!</div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
Tuesday, we went to Montrose for a
district meeting. It was a nice drive and a great meeting. Our friend,
Elder Stevens, goes home this week. It was great to be in one last
meeting with him. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Wednesday, I went on exchanges with Sister Petersen! It was great to have a little reunion. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thursday,
we flew to Dublin! It was the rockiest landing of my life. Like, I
almost died. Not really...but the university aged dude sitting next to me
screamed like a little girl! That was entertaining. The day in
Dublin was amazing! I was with Sister Kotter right in the city center.
We met so many people!! Oh my days, I love that city with all my heart. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Friday,
we had a leadership training meeting in the morning. It went really
well, there are a couple new tools that are being introduced to help the
missionaries out. It was great to hear from President Thompson and
President Kerr, the counselors in the Mission Presidency. They are both
such amazing leaders, I have learned so much from them! After the
meeting, we grabbed Vietnamese food with Boon, and then went out to
teach a couple lessons. I got to see Bruno again! It's always good to go
back to my city.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Saturday morning, we flew home
flippin early. It was a great flight with lots of fun conversations and
stuff. Then we went straight to the Scotland leadership training. Same
meeting, but the vibe was totally different. It's crazy how the context
can be the same, but people will get totally different reactions. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sunday
was a great stake conference at church. We had a lot of friends attend and the talks were so great! A lot of the speakers are recent converts
who shared their conversion stories. It was so powerful! </div>
<div>
Hope everyone is doing well, I love you all!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF6qqklMIqJPdPZ7WVTiUyPEDIpJKb4e_YutbeKFs592rNZMdK13rVisEmb7hyphenhyphenWtkmfYMfoShpaZxULuHa9Rg-yGb8H4cBZLgwtkAedgeeve0Dy3fPWfDfCCeL5mbvPnQyCmiPSFgsdS68/s1600/T+castle+1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF6qqklMIqJPdPZ7WVTiUyPEDIpJKb4e_YutbeKFs592rNZMdK13rVisEmb7hyphenhyphenWtkmfYMfoShpaZxULuHa9Rg-yGb8H4cBZLgwtkAedgeeve0Dy3fPWfDfCCeL5mbvPnQyCmiPSFgsdS68/s640/T+castle+1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

Monday, we had a beach day! We played frisbee in the sand, and man it was
absolutely freezing!! It was so much fun though, getting out and running around! Today, I think we'll be going on a hike somewhere.<br />

Tuesday, we drove to Glasgow in the morning for a meeting. Glasgow is a huge
city, it definitely doesn't look like Edinburgh! We came back afterwards
and got to work on a couple things. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Highlight
of the week...we got loads of food! Someone made us a quinoua salad, we
got curry, pizza, cheeky Nandos, cake cookies, 5 guys, a good fry, the
list goes on and on! It sounds dumb, but this week we were so blessed by
delicious food.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At church on Sunday, there was
a broadcast for all the Northern Europe countries. There were a lot of
great talks, it was cool seeing how specific the talks were to what
people here are going through! Definitely give it a look, I'm sure it's
on LDS.org.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Other than that, it was a pretty
chill week! Paxy and I didn't have a single exchange, so that was nice
to be comps for a whole week. This next week we head down to Dublin
again (YES!) and I'll get a couple good exchanges in. It'll be good
craic. </div>

Thanks for all the emails, and I hope you all have an awesome week!</div>

Where to start this
week... well, Tuesday we had exchanges! I was with Sister Sun and Sister
Tiffany. They are both pretty new, but man, they are amazing! They both
speak Chinese, so it was cool to be able to learn from them how to teach
people with different backgrounds. I love them both! <span id="goog_1465748448"></span><span id="goog_1465748449"></span></div>

Thursday,
we flew over to Ireland. WOO BACK TO DUBLIN! <b>Storm Doris</b> tried to stop
us, but<b> </b><i><b>I was not having it!</b> </i>The flight was delayed a couple hours but
we finally made it. We worked the day in Dublin on exchanges. I got Star Pizza (a Dublin
must), talked to loads of Brazilians, and got to hang out with my best
friend, Sister Hall, all day. Literally, amazing day!</div>

Friday, we took a bus down to Limerick. It is such a beautiful drive! I got to spend the day with Sister Schulze. She is from Germany and has only been out a couple weeks. We met a ton of cool people and had pancakes for dinner with a member. I ate so many!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Saturday,
we bussed back to Dublin to catch our flight back to Edinburgh. I was exhausted, it was a long week of traveling. I'm also a little
sick, but nothing too bad. It was hard to leave Dublin again, but I'll
be back soon :)</div>

<div>
Highlight: Our friend Tumi got
baptised!! WOOOO!!! Honestly, it was so much fun! Right from the get go,
she has been taking notes and trying to learn as much as she can about
Christ. She was so prepared and it was an amazing service! After, we
went out to Nando's, classic :) I love Nandos!</div>

<div>
We
had a couple exchanges this week. I was with Sister Naef for a day. She
is pretty new in the mission, but she is amazing! We met a lot of cool
people and taught Tumi about the temple. Tumi is hoping to go to the
temple in April!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I got to exchange with Sister
Cheketts and Sister Garner as well. Man, I love them both so much! It
was Valentine's day, so we got ice cream for dinner. Duh. Why not?! haha</div>

<div>
I
was also in East Kilbride for the day with Sister Dahl.It was so fun to
catch-up! We haven't served around each other for a while, so we had
some good craic talking to loads of people.<div>
</div>
<div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I
got to have an interview with President this week. We have them every 6
weeks now. I love that man so much! He is so amazing and we got to
catch up on a lot. Love it!</div>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
This next week we
go to Dublin.WOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I love that city so much! We'll be there
for 2 days on exchanges, then we go to Limerick for a day as well. It'll
be loads of fun to be back on the emerald isle. </div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I
got to study about pride this week. Pride is literally the worst, it
leads to everything evil. On the flip side then, humility is the answer
to everything. None of us are perfect, everyone has a bit of pride, but
it should be a goal to develop as much true humility as possible. Easier
said than done, but it's a constant goal we can each have. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oh, last p-day. Wow. We went to the museum!!!!! It was awesome and we had so much fun! We ran around like

We had a couple exchanges this week. I got to spend the day with Sister Esplin, my MTC companion! We had such a good day, we got so much work done and had a good time catching up. I also got to exchange with Sister Sams, another on of my old companions! It's so amazing seeing the progress she's made since the beginning of her mission, she is a beast missionary! <br />

On Saturday, we drove to Dunfermline for an exchange. I was with Sister Coons. We got to reminisce on the Dublin days and we talked to tons of people! Get this though. It was dinner time, and there was literally no where open to eat. Nowhere...but 1 posh restaurant. So we went into this posh Italian place. We looked at the menu and saw we could get a pasta for only £6! So we went for it. We told them we had to be in and out in an hour. I got Mussel Linguine. Literally, poshest meal on my mission for only £6. It was amazing!!!! We made it out of there in 45 minutes. It was hilarious! All the other people in there were on Valentine's Dates and dressed to the nines, and Sister Coons and I were soaking wet and exhausted, just laughing at everything. It was so fun!<br />
<br />
Our friend Tumi is getting baptised on Wednesday! She is a boss, she takes notes in lessons and is so prepared! <br />

<br /><br />Crazy week! We had so many conferences, I'll start at the top and work through it all.<br /><br />Tuesday, the new missionaries arrived! We gave a couple instructions to the trainers and got to meet all the newbies. They all seem so solid and the trainers are such bosses! It was sad to see some of our friends go home, they really became family!<br /><br />Wednesday, was an All-Ireland Conference! Oh my days, I love that island. Elder Johnson of the seventy came to talk to us. After he spoke, his wife and President and Sister Donaldson instructed us. I got to see a bunch of my friends, some church members from Dublin helped serve lunch! It was soooooo good to see them! <br /><br />We flew back to Edinburgh for the All-Scotland conference on Thursday. That was a much bigger and totally different meeting. It's so cool how different topics are brought up depending on what the missionaries need to hear!<br /><br />Friday was MLC. One more meeting… haha. We talked a lot about the new schedule and how we can best apply it to our mission. It was a really good meeting, lots of great comments. <br /><br />This next week we have a couple exchanges, so I'll be sure to have some fun stories.<br /><br />We have this really cool friend named Tumi, from South Africa! She is super excited for her baptism on the 15th, I'll let you know how it goes. She is so awesome, we have become good friends!<br /><br />That's all from me, hope you all have an awesome week!!! Love ya!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08401264105565366740noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3472167825139786123.post-75910927226778362132017-02-05T16:00:00.004-08:002017-02-05T16:00:44.034-08:00The calm before the storm<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUtHx208tjnlUr9ZmMspj3M_lSCbN51KyQWldMY0abEkpJ2lyl2kG8exYLy6oej0xaenCwk-3KjLKu4ZCjSkqWAAo0F3OH3StXtx9Hjy50RIfMTfU93fjRuJcVQpz5EU3JCEPHX0pVYXZx/s1600/Arthur%2527s+seat+9.JPG"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUtHx208tjnlUr9ZmMspj3M_lSCbN51KyQWldMY0abEkpJ2lyl2kG8exYLy6oej0xaenCwk-3KjLKu4ZCjSkqWAAo0F3OH3StXtx9Hjy50RIfMTfU93fjRuJcVQpz5EU3JCEPHX0pVYXZx/s640/Arthur%2527s+seat+9.JPG" width="640" /></a>Last Monday we climbed Arthur's Seat and took some amazing pictures! This
week we talked to a lot of people on the streets. We met some cool ones
and some not as cool ones, and we had so much fun doing it! Just having
mini dance parties and laughing at literally everything, it's so fun! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We
saw lots of miracles this week, mainly about food. We were pretty much
out of money and out of food, but then someone would randomly call or text
and ask, "hey do you want to come for dinner?" Um, yes. Heavenly
Father's blessings are so real.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Moves call was
this week, so we're helping all the missionaries move to their new
areas. It's good craic to be able to see everyone.</div>

<div>
Monday I got to play
sports. Oh my days, it was the best! Just running around like crazy and
laughing at literally everything. Frisbee is definitely the favorite,
but rugby is growing on me! Ok, I can't actually play, but kicking it is
really fun!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
</div>
<div>
Highlight of the week was
definitely the Sisters Conference! We got all of the sisters in Scotland
and Ireland together (about 60) and had an amazing day! There were
great workshops about health, we played some games, did Zumba
(embarrassingly...) and had some great spiritual thoughts at the end. It
was so good to see everyone! There were some sisters I hadn't seen for
ages, we got to catch up and have a blast!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What else is happening...not much! OOh I got to drive Bertha around this week! She is this <i>huge</i> van
the mission home owns to help shuttle missionaries. I got to drive her
to and from the airport. It was just like driving the suburban, except I
had to shift the gears myself...on the left! Party! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We got
to exchange with a couple teams this week. I got to be with Sister
Eggett and Sister Brousseau. Man I love them! We had so much fun!!</div>

</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sister
Paxman and I are continuing to have a party. Literally, it's just so
much fun! We had out year mark this year, so that's crazy! To celebrate, we wore the outfits we wore when arrived at the MTC. </div>

Literally, I
have been over here for a year now. Wow. I did not think I would make it
this far. So much has happened, I've met such amazing people, had
incredible experiences, and it has 100% changed my life. Missions are
the best!</div>
